"Dear Reiki Students to be,
My name is Tony Davies and I live in Colne, Lancashire. I am a time served enginner and currently work in Yorkshire. Earlier this year 2008, I decided to do something to help myself, improve my life and help me to focus my energies into something useful.
For many years whilst in the Army I had strange premonitions and feelings about people or places or even roads. As my Mother and Father had both come from large families we had always talked of strange occurrences or events which had happened to them or their siblings.
So at 54 years of age I finally decided to seek an answer to these goings on. A bonus to this would be to learn a new skill and be of use to family and friends. So I looked on the Interweb and small ads in the local papers. But nothing jumped out and bit me, you know sound interesting enough.
During a conversation with a lady in the local pub one evening, she mentioned Reiki to me. Having never heard of it myself she gave me a broad outline of what she understood it to be. It sounded intriguing, and I did a search for some information on it. Some of which made me immediately sceptical to say the least. Bit too Greenpeace, Rainbow Warrior for me. But I decided to have a look at it with an open mind and see where the road led. So a course was promptly booked.
On meeting my teacher Heather, she is so full of radiance you can`t help but be drawn to her. She is lively, enthusiastic, patient and full of knowledge about life and Reiki. Pretty soon we were talking like old friends whilst she explained the course to me. And I must admit I explained my Catholic background, my family and some of my experiences and my potential scepticism. This she took in good humour and she must have known right away I belonged on this course and had been led to it.
The words tremendous or wonderful and the like don`t do it justice to Heather`s teaching, it was enlightening to say the least. So many things seemed to drop into place for me, like Reiki had been waiting a long time for me to just drop in.
The manual, which you work through, is very easy to follow. To make things work better for me I went back over each section several times till it had sunk in properly, no skim reading here. The practises were well explained and reasoned, so my scepticism couldn`t kick in there. The whole package made sense to me and I did look at it from all sides. The Internet also threw up some useful items plus some downright whacky ones as well of course. But you can weed those out with a bit of common sense.
Also Heather is only a mouse click away, if you have any queries to be answered and you have regular support phone calls. These enable you to ask questions or resolve any issues that have come up. All in all I can honestly say this is one of the most worthwhile things I have personally ever done.

Tony has amazing gifts which he can now put to good use for others, himself and his family. He is a pleasure to teach, and kept an open mind on all that he was taught. and he has reaped the rewards by his expereinces of the Reiki energy.
I embarked on the Reiki 1 Course in September 2008. My reasons being, I wanted to help myself and others. I could see that there was much negativity around, and felt I was particularly sensitive to it and felt I should do something. I wanted to help others, but felt frustrated at not being able to.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and feel I have started on a journey that I am eager to develop continually. The course not only involves working with the wonderful Reiki energy, it also incorporates positive thinking and life goals, which is very beneficial as all these aspects work together and ensure many positive outcomes.
