Reiki A Light In The Darkness

What is Reiki?

Reiki is the energy that exists in every living thing.

The fractional unit of life is a cell; within each cell are molecules, all the characteristics of RHA & DNA - all breathing and living from the intrinsic energies stored within the Cosmos, the Universal force - Energies.

Many cells unite to form a tissue, many tissues aggregate to form an organ. Organs assemble to form the system. These components of the system communicate with one another via the conduit of blood vessels and the blood flowing in them. These Universal Energies exist right through the Galaxies, down to Earth and its inhabitants.

Reiki? How Does It Work?

The Reiki Practitioner, by virtue of his or her knowledge and spiritual endowment, is attuned to these Universal Energies. And raises these vibrational energy levels to be more in flow with the flow of energy in the Universe.

Being attuned to the energies, the Practitioner is now able to channel more energy to flow through self who, now becomes the conduit... the medium through whom the energy flows.

That so, the Practitioner is, now able to transfer this energy into you, the client.

The benefit of the transference of energy to you is to raise your energy levels - stimulating your dormant healing abilities to be more effective.

How Long Has Reiki Existed?

This ancient healing Art has existed since the beginning of life. It has always been.

Reiki was used many thousands of years ago by the people of that time and was accepted as a natural part of their life. It was rediscovered by Dr Miako Usui in the 1800`s and he opened clinics in Japan to help others, he also trained students how to access the energies and how to heal others.

Since then, Reiki has been brought to the West by Hawayo Takata who, learnt Reiki from one of Dr Usui`s masters. Hawayo Takata changed the way Reiki was taught to others so that it was acceptable to the West. Now more and more original teachings of Dr Usui are being discovered and being incorporated into Reiki Practise.

The UTEC College is based in Burnley it provides quality Reiki Courses to all levels of Reiki & professional Reiki Treatments providing service to those in Lancashire and the surrounding counties.

Who Benefits From Receiving Reiki Treatments?

Everyone, especially those with stress related problems.

STRESS is the number one killer, today`s hectic lifestyles and the struggle for excellence... for possesions have given rise to Hyper Competitive Stress (HCS) - exceeding the point of no return, and the consequences are disease and premature death.

Stress was first studied in 1895 by Walter B Cannon (1871-1945). He used an x-ray instrument to study the digestive systems of dogs. He noticed that the digestive process stopped when the dogs were exposed to stress. Stress triggers adrenal hormones in the body and the hormones become unbalanced.

Hans Selye, a Canadian scientist (1907-1982) noticed that people with chronic illness or disease showed the same symptoms as the dogs.

Hans began his own studies on rats and exposed them to different stress factors, heat, sound, poison and shock.

The rats showed enlarged glands, reduced thymus glands, lymph nodes and gastric ulcers. Hans Selye`s test indicated that stress is the medium allowing cortisol - a hormone from the adrenal cortex to be released. This increases the production of glucose in the body while under stress.

Some Statistics of The Consequences of Stress.

According to the latest Government studies:

  • Professional and Managerial groups have high prevalence of work related stress.
  • The highest proportion of these was in the 35 - 44 and 45 - 54 age groups.
  • Work related stress costs society over £3.8 billion every year.

According to a Swedish Study:

  • Setting tight deadlines raises the risk of having a heart attack by six fold.
  • Working hard to get a task completed on time raises your chance of having a heart attack within the next 24 hours.

Some of these signs include:

  • Difficult work situations

But do Reiki Treatments Actually Work to Relieve Stress... Let alone to actually banish it?

There has always been wooly thinking and claptrap talking about the efficacy of Reiki Treatments, and Reiki Training.

Reiki treatments induce a state of relaxation for body, mind and spirit, this relaxation allows the body and mind to restore its balance and effectively induce the healing process to take place.

It is without doubt that stress, whether short term or long term, infiltrates all the three aspects of each individual: the physical state, the mental state, and the spiritual sphere - in relation of the indivdual`s environment.

Scholars have proved it. Ingenious Reiki Practitioners practise it. And Science Researchers have validated the efficacy of Reiki Treatments Lancashire.

There are numerous benefits in receiving Reiki treatments to which many are testifying that Reiki:

  • Promotes self healing
  • Reduces acute and chronic stress
  • Relieves tension
  • Strengthens immune system
  • Enchances all orthodox and natural medicines/treatments
  • Promotes relaxation in body and mind
  • Increases well-being
  • Supportive to body and mind
  • Restores balance and harmony
  • Removes toxins stored in the body
  • Increases productivity
  • Inspirational and motivational
  • Helps to remove old habits to promote positive changes
  • Speeds up the healing processes
  • Treats the whole person
  • Effectively reduces swelling and bruising from injuries

This list is not by any means exhausted.
